Yes — this is one of our signature features, and it's optional. If your school chooses to offer it, SchoolBreeze counts the lessons on each student's calendar for the upcoming month and charges that exact amount. Most other school tools can't do this at all; we give you the option.

How do you handle months with four weeks vs five weeks of lessons?

If you're using variable billing, it's automatic — a 5-Tuesday month bills for five lessons and a 4-Tuesday month bills for four, with no manual proration. Schools that prefer a flat monthly rate can keep doing that too.

What if a family adds an extra lesson to a month that's already been paid for?

You decide. Schools using advance billing can require the family to pay for the extra lesson on the spot — right in the app or via a one-tap checkout link — so the month stays fully covered. Schools that bill in arrears can simply let it roll onto the next invoice.

That's your call — we don't enforce either model. If your school wants advance variable billing (charge for next month's scheduled lessons up front), we support it. If you'd rather bill in arrears, flat monthly, by term, or per package, we support that too. You can even mix models across different families.

Which payment processors do you support?

Stripe at launch, with Square and PayPal on the roadmap. Cards, ACH, Apple Pay, and Google Pay all work out of the box.

Yes. Monthly tuition (flat or variable per-lesson), term-based plans, lesson packs, drop-in fees, and one-off charges (instruments, recital fees) all live in the same billing engine.
